Nash Parish Council: Responsibilities

Nash Parish Council has responsibility to represent the interests of the community in Nash. Many of the services (e.g. refuse collection, and road maintenance) are provided by other bodies such as Aylesbury Vale District Council and Buckinghamshire County Council. The Parish Council comments on these Councils' policies and makes representations on behalf of matters of concern to Nash.

Nash Parish Council is invited to comment on all planning applications that affect the Parish. Details can be found on the planning section of the Aylesbury Vale District Council web-site.

The matters that the Parish Council has direct responsibility for are the following:
· The Allotments (through the Allotments Committee)
· The Recreation Ground and the Play Area
· The Green and The Pond.

Nash Parish Council also determines that part of the Council Tax that covers the Council's expenses (called the precept). A major item in the Council's expenditure relates to the maintenance of the Recreation Ground and the Play Area - this includes cutting the grass on the Recreation Ground and the Green.
